About Margo
Since 2005, Margo has immersed herself in the world of tea. It all began when she founded the Denver Tea Room, offering delightful tea parties to elderly groups. Her compassionate spirit led her to create moments of joy for those she served.
Margo’s credentials speak volumes. She holds a Hotel/Restaurant Management degree from Westwood College, earned her Certified Pastry Chef title from Escoffier in 2008, and became a Certified Tea Master through International Tea Masters in 2009. One of her favorite parts of the Hotel/Restaurant Management degree was an internship at the famous Brown Place Hotel in downtown Denver.
In 2010, the Denver Tea Room blossomed into a physical space—a dream realized. From a cozy living room in a B&B to a larger, inviting location near I-25 & Broadway, Margo and team curated an experience that blended coffee shop vibes with elegant tea service for private parties and special events.
As the Executive Chef, Margo poured her heart into crafting thousands of mini desserts and sandwiches. Afternoon Tea Service featured four savories, three mini desserts, her signature cream scones, hot tea, and champagne. Even during busy weekends, she maintained quality, whether whipping up homemade soups or shepherd’s pie.
For seven years, Margo and her team graced the Denver Botanic Gardens with tea education and cream tea services during summer afternoons. Catering to 35-60 guests outdoors was hard work, but it became a cherished tradition. And keep an eye out—Margo may be returning to the Gardens for tea classes soon!
