Once a Tea Room. . . now an online Tea Shop! After over 13 years of catering and operating a tea room, we closed up shop and decided to make a big change! Unfortunately, soon after we closed, I was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma cancer. So, it took me a couple of years to deal with this issue, but I finally opened this online tea shop with all the old favorites from the tea room.

Introducing DTR 2.0 - the online destination for tea lovers everywhere! I  have carefully curated a selection of our most beloved teas, along with our famous DTR Scone Mix and accessories, to bring the joy of tea right to your doorstep.

Click on "Collections" in the drop-down menu and prepare to be amazed by the wide variety of tea options we have to offer. Whether you're a long-time customer or new to the world of tea, our Online Tea Shop has something to satisfy every palate.

Indulge in the rich and comforting flavors of our Marzipan Rooibos, a delightful blend of almond and vanilla that will transport you to a cozy afternoon by the fireplace. About Margo

Since 2005, Margo has immersed herself in the world of tea. It all began when she founded the Denver Tea Room, offering delightful tea parties to elderly groups. Her compassionate spirit led her to create moments of joy for those she served.

Margo’s credentials speak volumes. She holds a Hotel/Restaurant Management degree from Westwood College, earned her Certified Pastry Chef title from Escoffier in 2008, and became a Certified Tea Master through International Tea Masters in 2009. One of her favorite parts of the Hotel/Restaurant Management degree was an internship at the famous Brown Place Hotel in downtown Denver.

In 2010, the Denver Tea Room blossomed into a physical space—a dream realized. From a cozy living room in a B&B to a larger, inviting location near I-25 & Broadway, Margo and team curated an experience that blended coffee shop vibes with elegant tea service for private parties and special events.

As the Executive Chef, Margo poured her heart into crafting thousands of mini desserts and sandwiches. Afternoon Tea Service featured four savories, three mini desserts, her signature cream scones, hot tea, and champagne. Even during busy weekends, she maintained quality, whether whipping up homemade soups or shepherd’s pie.

For seven years, Margo and her team graced the Denver Botanic Gardens with tea education and cream tea services during summer afternoons. Catering to 35-60 guests outdoors was hard work, but it became a cherished tradition. And keep an eye out—Margo may be returning to the Gardens for tea classes soon!
